Influences of the sea and coastline of Lymington and The New Forest have inspired the dramatic Contemporary Abstract Seascapes and
skillfull combination of vibrant colours which have become a trademark of his paintings
The latest collection of Contemporary Art take their cue from the local fishing boats and beach huts of Lymington and Milford-on-Sea. Layers of brightly coloured paint washed away by the sea and battered by the waves. The steaking effect of rusted iron and scrubbing of nets across marine timbers. faded colours adjusted by time and tide.
Painstaking construction of acrylic paint, built up and scraped down, communicate a raw power and rough texture which capture a deep breath of sea air.
